Cambridge Introduces New PacLite Conveyor Belt

Company has introduced PacLite, a new lighter weight, flatwire conveyor belt with variable openings that is ideally suited for three segments of the food processing industry: Packaging, baking and rock traps used for root crops.

Cambridge Engineered Solutions has introduced PacLite, a new lighter weight, flatwire conveyor belt with variable openings that is ideally suited for potato rock traps.
 
Manufactured using a new proprietary process developed by the company’s engineers, PacLite is 30-50 percent stronger than a standard flatwire belt and weighs 10 percent less than its predecessor, PacTitan®.
 

Belt Measuring System

The Cambridge Tug Tester measuring system provides tension readings on turn and spiral cage conveyor belts used during the cooling and freezing stages of bakery and food processing; it uploads data and tracks changes on a PC for daily plant monitoring. Approved for operating temperatures from -40°F to 120°F, the system can be used on belt loads up to 1,000 lb. with measurements provided every 2 seconds for up to 20 hours at -10°F. It includes a belt loading mechanism, rechargeable lithium ion battery and charger, software discs, pins, adaptors and cables.

Cambridge unveils Tug Tester

Cambridge Engineered Solutions has introduced a proprietary measuring system called Tug Tester to help customers obtain accurate tension readings on turn and spiral cage conveyor belts commonly used during the cooling and freezing stages of bakery and food processing.

The system, which uploads data and tracks changes on a PC, is available for purchase to provide daily plant monitoring. Cambridge representatives will also visit bakeries and food processing plants to demonstrate Tug Tester and administer an initial test at no charge.

Cambridge EnTech has designed and manufactured eight pairs of traveling water screens recently installed in new cooling tower systems for El Dorado Chemical. The rotating water screens are part of a refurbished production line for ammonium nitrate and sulphuric acid manufactured at the company’s El Dorado, Arkansas plant.
